There’s a bit of arguing going on in mostly my videos’ comment sections. It’s just petty complaints about what channel makes the best “Everything Wrong With Steven Universe” videos. People seem to get really defensive about what channels they like to watch, and that has let to some thinking that there’s like a cold war going on between all these sins video creators. I’m writing this now, before any real conflict develops, to say that I am perfectly fine with a little competition.
Yesterday, I contacted Moliminous, a YouTuber who occasionally makes videos similar to those of my Crystal Sins series, and videos similar to LittleshyFiM’sCinemare Sins videos. She replied saying that she has no problems with making similar videos. I also contacted Littleshy, who had the same mindset.
So there’s no feud between Sins video makers. Moliminous didn’t even know I existed until I contacted her, so there’s no way a conflict could arise. I do think having competition is a good thing. It gives incentive to improve on your work and a reason to not be lazy.
I’ll be citing this article if any big arguments about this arise.
(EWW means “Everything Wrong With” just so you know)
Anyone reading this probably remembers “Everything Wrong With Gem Glow in 3 Minutes or Less” (which should actually be 4 minutes or less). It was my first Crystal Sins video; it’s currently my most watched video with nearly ten-thousand views as of writing this. My pathetic semi-underdeveloped teenage human brain can barely picture a number that large.
Even though that video has received that much attention, I am not proud of it. There are a few reasons for that which I want to share just so I can get it off of my mind.
(It’s actually 3 minutes and 24 milliseconds, but who cares?)
Wow. There was a really small amount of time between fabrication this idea and release of the final product. I’m really impressed with myself, but also kind of ashamed. I messed up a lot when recording the voiceover, and I was rushing myself too much. So I could have re-recorded the voiceover, but I Sonic ’06ed myself and pushed release so hard that the final product came out crappier than I’d like. It’s still better than Sonic ’06 in my honest opinion.
